Many members of the CIMET staff and students attended the conference CGIV2010, the fifth European Conference on Colour in Graphics, Imaging, and Vision. This conference was held June 9-13th in Joensuu, Finland at the University of Eastern Finland (UEF).
The conference was organized by General Chair Jussi Parkkinen and Timo Jääskeläinen and staff of the UEF Joensuu Color Group, Theo Gevers, University of Amsterdam, Netherlands and Alain Trémeau, Université Jean Monnet, Saint-Etienne, France, served as Program Chairs.
With more than 140 attendees hailing from 30 countries as far away as USA and Taiwan, CGIV 2010 was truly an international meeting.
85 papers from color science researchers and practitioners world-wide was presented this year. Among them 4 was cosigned by CIMET students of cohort 2008-2010 (Aitor Alvarez, Ali Amirshahi, Guanqun Cao, Sheikh Hasan Faridul, Yu Hu, Mozhdeh Seifi), one was cosigned by a prospective CIMET students (Rémy Scaramuzzino) of cohort 2010-2012 ! and 16 was cosigned by members of CIMET teaching staff.
